The heaviest salmon in 2010 was 16lbs and the next heaviest was 10 lbs. The heaviest sea trout was 9 1/2 lbs

About the River

The River Eachaig is a well-known and highly regarded sea trout fishery, with salmon angling as an added bonus. The river offers good sport with stunning and dramatic west Highland scenery. The river meanders through the strath and has great variety and character as it travels over 5 km before reaching the sea. Part of the fishery panes through the famous Benmore Botanic Garden adding to the interest of the river.
